New Location coming in September • Grand Opening September 6th •

Live Free Yoga is moving down the street…

Beginning of September, Live Free Yoga will no longer be operating out of Tom and Chickpea. Our new location will be 3 Rockingham Rd, Suite 2201 in Londonderry. The studio will be to the left of Revived, up on the top floor. The space is currently being renovated…so the suspense will have to build!!

What does this mean for you all and how does this change things?

First off, the new space is big. And open. Full of light. More room for your practice, and more room to fit other bodies! Current classes/times will remain the same, only there will be more! 15+ classes to start. More morning classes, more evening classes, weekend classes, and MORE instructors! At least three new instructors, friends of mine who share in the values of Live Free Yoga, love nature and yoga as much as I do. And whom you will LOVE as well!

Pricing will remain the same, with the addition of new options, like New Member Intro Rates, and Monthly Memberships.

Saturday 9/6 will be the grand opening day, a reveal of the new space with free mini classes, snacks, raffles (more to come on all this!) Also a great opportunity to meet new teachers!

Freedom for Your Body, Mind, and Spirit

Live Free Yoga is a welcoming studio for all levels of practice from beginner to seasoned yogi. We honor all bodies, shapes, and sizes, and celebrate the beauty in us all.

Here you will find seasoned teachers who will help you grow your personal practice and open your awareness. You will find a space where you can connect to your body through movement, learning to understand and accept yourself as you are. True freedom, and the appreciation of life!

Classes Offered

Vinyasa

A faster-paced, more invigorating class of flowing movement, linked to the breath. This is our sweatiest class, designed to get the heart pumping, while at the same time maintaining yogic awareness and presence. Expect sun salutations, and creative, playful sequences that progress to a challenging peak pose. There may be arm balances and inversions offered. Recommended for those with some yoga experience, although modifications will always be offered to suit all levels.

Slow Flow

A moderately-paced class, focusing on slower, intentional movements and linking to the breath. Movements will still flow in the way of vinyasa, just with more time, more breaths, to experience each pose and settle in. Expect a few sun salutations and a challenging peak pose which is progressed to in each class. Suitable for all levels.

Core

A moderately-paced class, with special attention to the core and core stabilization. This class will focus on yoga poses which strengthen the front body, back body and side body, as well as deep abdominals. Also expect twists and balancing poses, and fewer stretchy postures. Suitable for all levels.

Function and Strength

A moderately-paced class, with a focus on alignment and some body weight strength exercises woven into the sequence. Extra mobility and flexibility movements will also be offered. Suitable for all levels.

Gentle

A slower-paced class that gives time to set up and explore each pose. This is a great class for those who are newer to yoga. Less flow-y than other classes but with movements that flow from one to the next in an intuitive way. Expect a mixture of stretching, strengthening and a few balancing poses, with some breathwork. A very calming and grounding movement class.

Beginner

A slow-paced class where each pose explained and broken down. Expect more discussion on alignment, less flow. Props and their uses will be explained, modifications offered, so that you can find the pose in your body. A great place to begin if you are new to yoga, or intimidated by a “regular” yoga class. You will learn basic poses, basic pranayama (yogic breathing), and other basic yoga practices.

Chair

A chair yoga class. The class will explore seated variations of many of the poses as well as a few standing poses in which the chair will be used for support and balance. Expect a mixture of strengthening and stretching poses, and lots of dynamic and functional movements. This class is great for those who cannot get up and down from the ground, have great difficulty balancing, or those who cannot weight bear on the wrists or knees.  *Must be able to climb a flight of stairs in order to attend class, as studio is upstairs.

Yin

A slow-paced class in which poses are held for a prolonged amount of time, anywhere from 2-5 mins. This helps loosen up the fascia and connective tissue. A great complement to more active forms of yoga and exercise.

Restorative

A slow-paced class in which poses are held for a longer period of time, to help ease the body into a deeper state of relaxation. Props like bolsters help set up and support the body in the poses, so that the body may relax even more. This is a  great practice to decompress and melt stress away.

“Breath, the mindful breath,

the rhythm, out and in,

the wave that washes

through our days, creating

space for stillness, sorrow,

joy, or exaltation. Full,

then empty, ebb and flow,

breath accompanies each

step into the unknown.

In the breath, the soul

finds an opportunity to

speak. Images or intuition

poetry or wordless wisdom

come and go—no effort but

to breathe and listen.”
